Kendall and Kylie Jenner might be the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, but they were certainly not born yesterday. At just 16 and 14, respectively, Kendall and Kylie already have spin-off specials, namesake nail polishes and a Most Fashionable Sisters award on their belts. They walked in New York Fashion Week and have more than 3.4 million Twitter followers combined.

Now, Kendall and Kylie can add cover girls to their resume. The half-sisters scored their first magazine cover with Teen Vogue, complete with a full editorial spread.

And, yet, they are still normal teenage girls, who go to football games, joke about boys and fight over clothes. They are so down-to-earth, said older sister Kim. It's just who they are, and they will never change. Kourtney agreed: We keep each other grounded. Doing it as a family helps keep everyone real.

Kylie's favorite subject is English and Kendall is on the cheerleading squad. They call me Cheer Mom, Kendall told Teen Vogue about her fellow cheerleaders, because when we make those big banners for football games, I'm the one to say, 'Do this, do that; use this color, use that color.' Not, like, in a mean way. But I just like things in order. I'm a perfectionist.

She [acts] like [she's] my mom, I swear, Kylie said. This morning, she walks in and goes, 'Make sure you're up.' I'm like, Kendall, I'm up! I get it.

Kendall continued: I'm already a mom to her. She goes out with her friends, and I know what she's doing. I know she's gonna go hang out with all her little boyfriends.

Ugh, I would not wanna be your kid, Kylie said.

The girls are fashionistas like their older sisters; and showed off their enviable closets to the Teen Vogue reporter. I like to be comfortable and casual, Kendall said, showing off a new dress from H&M and a leather jacket that Kris and Kim brought back from Dubai. I'm more laid-back than Kylie. In school, I'll wear jeans, a sweatshirt, and Uggs, and she'll wear, like, this whole ensemble that she put together the night before.

Kylie's favorite item is a bit more A-list - stiletto Louboutins with killer studs. I feel like a shopaholic, she admits. When I come home with a new bag of stuff, oh my god, it feels so good.

Kim described the two as dramatically different: Kylie is more rocker, and Kendall is more tomboyish.

Despite the fact the family is tabloid fodder, the Kardashians are exceptionally close. They try to avoid the blogs and gossip columns, but the paparazzi are everywhere.

Khloe told the magazine, I don't let them look at blogs. They are toxic. Kendall and Kylie are like my babies. I literally raised them, and I make sure I'm still very involved in their lives. I have access to all of their social media outlets. They are not allowed to have Twitter or Facebook unless I have the password. I'm very protective, but in doing that they also feel like they can talk to me about anything, and they do.

When the going gets tough, there is always a shoulder to lean on.

I love having so many people you can turn to, Kendall said. You always have someone there for you, Kylie added.
