Kim Kardashian West removed a photo of her newborn, Psalm West, who was born via a surrogate on May 9 at Cedars-Sinai in L.A., due to the backlash she received from fans.

The 38-year-old reality star and businesswoman posted a photo of her son on May 17 but was criticized due to how he was positioned in his crib.

"She was actually more embarrassed by the backlash as she would never do anything knowingly to harm any of her children," a source told Hollywood Life. The insider continued, "She is going to avoid all the hate that it has brought and instead learn from it moving forward and put Psalm in the safest environment possible."

One person who viewed the photo of Psalm wrote on social media criticizing Kim, and said, in part, "This is cringeworthy at best & a SIDS trap at its worst. #SafeSleep Should be your choice. Not best optics." SIDS stands for Sudden infant death syndrome.

Meanwhile, Kardashian-West and her husband Kanye West are already working on making their latest child a brand name. TMZ reports the two have already "filed for trademark protection" for his name.

Psalm is the fourth child for the Kardashian West family. The couple already shares daughter North, 5; son Saint, 3; and daughter Chicago, 1.

After Psalm was born, Kardashian-West tweeted, "He's here and he's perfect." She added, "He's also Chicago's twin lol I'm sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her."
