Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on the cover of Vogue. Vogue

It's official. After months of wanting to be on the cover of Vogue magazine, Kim Kardashian has gotten her wish. The 33-year-old reality TV star is featured on the coveted cover for April, along with fiancé Kanye West.

"This is such a dream come true!!! Thank you @VogueMagazine for this cover! OMGGGGG!!! I can't even breath! [sic]" Kardashian tweeted on Friday.

The soon-to-be bride even gives a glimpse of what she will look like in her wedding dress, as she dons a white gown. She shows off her 15-carat diamond ring as West lovingly embraces her from behind. The April issue is sure to stir up controversy, after West reportedly battled Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour over getting Kardashian on the cover for some time. A source told Gawker last month that West apparently prevailed: "They're in L.A. shooting right now."

Last October, the 36-year-old rapper gushed about his reality-TV star girlfriend, claiming Kardashian is more influential than first lady Michelle Obama.

Speaking with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show a few months ago, West shared his opinion about Kardashian’s influence.

"There's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue. She's like the most intriguing woman right now. She's got Barbara Walters calling her, like, every day," he said.

It is quite a surprise Kardashian made the cover of the iconic fashion magazine, as it has been reported for years that Wintour is no fan of hers.

Wintour allegedly has even denied Kardashian access to the Vogue-sponsored Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit gala in previous years. The new mother was able to attend last year as West’s date. But then Kardashian was obviously cropped out of a picture when the fashion site made a “Best Dressed” list, showing that Wintour likely still disdains the curvaceous celebrity.
