Kim Kardashian is reportedly finally going to be featured on the cover of Vogue, after Kanye West battled Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour over it for some time. A source tells Gawker that West apparently prevailed: "They're in L.A. shooting [Kim] right now."

Last October, the 36-year-old rapper gushed about his reality-TV star girlfriend, claiming Kardashian is more influential than first lady Michelle Obama.

Speaking with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show a few months ago, West shared his opinion about Kardashian’s influence.

"There's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue. She's like the most intriguing woman right now. She's got Barbara Walters calling her, like, every day," he said.

"And collectively, we're the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what [Barack Obama] is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [bikini] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day." He is referring to the photo Kardashian uploaded that month of herself in a white bodysuit showing off her derriere.

Known for making bold statements, West said he was not trying to cause controversy with these comments. "That's not my concern. My concern is doing God's work and he'll work everything else out."

It would be quite a surprise if Kardashian made the cover of the iconic fashion magazinec, as it has been reported for years that legendary Vogue editor Wintour does not like Kardashian due to her reality-TV background.

Wintour allegedly has even denied Kardashian access to the Vogue-sponsored Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit gala in previous years. The new mother was able to attend last year as West’s date. But then Kardashian was obviously cropped out of a picture when the fashion site made a “Best Dressed” list, showing that Wintour likely still has distaste for the curvaceous celebrity.
