Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may no longer be a couple.

That's the buzz after the actor attended the Golden Globes without the leading actress by his side.

Stewart “flew to LA and was supposed to be Rob's date for the Golden Globes, but he told her he wants to cool it off," according to a report published in the London Evening Standard. "He loves her but would rather go back to being good friends so they can rebuild their trust and focus on work after Twilight."

Stewart ended up not attending the Golden Globes, but did go to an afterparty, the newspaper, citing a report in the UK Sun, said.

This past summer, Stewart had an affair with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, and it was unclear whether Stewart and Pattinson would reconcile.

Some actors, including Jodie Foster, who played Stewart's mother in the 2002 film "Panic Room," came to Stewart’s defense after reports of the affair.

"If I had to grow up in this media culture, I don't think I could survive it emotionally. I would only hope that someone who loved me, really loved me, would put their arm around me and lead me away to safety," Foster said in an essay defending the young actress.

Although Stewart reportedly felt upset about Pattinson wanting to cool things off between them, a source said in published reports, “She's hoping he'll come round and time will be a great healer. He was getting so much pressure to ditch her. His friends told him to focus on his career and said she was wrecking his chances."
