On Sunday, Kylie Jenner caused an online uproar when she posted an Instagram photo of herself driving on a Los Angeles freeway. The 17-year-old reality television personality had her right hand on the steering wheel of her Mercedes-Benz while she used her left hand to snap the photo.

“Born & Raised … & I’ll probably die here,” she posted alongside the photo.

The photo came amid an investigation involving Jenner’s father, Bruce, who is being questioned by authorities for involvement in a fatal car accident in early February that left one driver dead.

Police said a vehicle driven by the elder Jenner, 65, rear-ended a Lexus that had abruptly stopped because a Toyota Prius had come to a halt in front of it. The impact of the collision pushed the Lexus into oncoming traffic on the Pacific Coast Highway, and it was then hit by a large sport utility vehicle. The Lexus driver, a 70-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jenner may be held responsible for his role in the crash.

"The driver of a vehicle on a California highway must operate the vehicle at a speed to enable him to stop in any traffic condition that is visible to him ahead of him," James Fox, an attorney specializing in motor vehicle cases, told People magazine in February.

Kylie Jenner, the youngest member of the Jenner-Kardashian family, was caught texting while driving in early March, just one month after the devastating car accident.

Last week, the teenager made headlines when she reportedly broke up with boyfriend and rapper Tyga, 25. Tyga’s ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, Blac Chyna, posted screenshots of messages from the rapper on Instagram, asking that the couple get back together. Though Jenner didn’t respond to the rumors, the two were spotted together on Saturday at Tyga’s concert at California State University at Fullerton.
