Former basketball player Lamar Odom is releasing a memoir on Tuesday, titled "Darkness to Light," and inside, makes many remarks about his marriage to reality star Khloe Kardashian which ended in divorce in 2016. The two began dating in 2009, and married after one month.

In an interview with ABC, Odom admits that he once threatened to kill his ex-wife while he was taking cocaine and ecstasy.

In his memoir, which goes more into depth about the details, Odom wrote, reports Us Weekly, "Khloé came down and knocked on the door. I opened it suddenly and grabbed her forcefully by the shoulders, which frightened her."

He continued, "'What the [expletive] are you doing?’ I screamed, out of my mind. ‘You trying to embarrass me in front of my friends? I’ll [expletive] kill you! You don’t know what I’m capable of!'"

The former professional athlete was allegedly upset that she called his friends for help when he experienced hallucinations in their home.

In his interview with ABC, Odom said that he cannot recall the last time he did cocaine, and when he did it for the first time it was "like unleashing a demon." He also added, "It's toxic."

He managed to keep his drug use from Kardashian for a period of time, saying during the interview, "I was professional at hiding it. Khloe didn't know for a long time."
