New photos showing Lamar Odom being taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles were released by TMZ early Wednesday. The photos showed Odom being hooked to several machines as he was being wheeled into the Los Angeles hospital, while Khloé Kardashian was seen walking into the hospital.

The photos were taken on Monday. The TMZ report said he was taken to Cedars hospital because the family believed the LA hospital is better equipped than Las Vegas’ Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center. Odom was found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas last week and reports said cocaine and opiates were found in his system. Odom is also said to have suffered multiple strokes.

The latest TMZ report follows a statement released on Kardashian’s website on Monday that the former Los Angeles Lakers player was making progress.

"The past week has been incredibly difficult," Kardashian wrote, adding: "I am so thankful to family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone a Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made. You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure. Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!!"

However, despite the statement from Kardashian, TMZ reported Monday that the 35-year-old’s kidneys were failing and he will have to go through six hours of dialysis every day. The report added that doctors at Cedars will also perform brain tests on Odom to find out the extent of damage due to strokes.
