Now that his football career has come to an end, former Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson has found an interesting way to pass the time.

Johnson, 33, has reportedly been working as a guest DJ at Tootsie’s Cabaret, a Miami strip club, TMZ reports. The former 2,000-yard rusher has been spotted in the club’s DJ booth “several times” this year, according to sources.

Despite his high-profile past, Johnson isn’t the club’s normal DJ, TMZ reports. Rather, the 33-year-old takes over the booth for an occasional “quick guest set,” and is reportedly well liked by the Tootsie’s Cabaret crowd.

Johnson may be one of the Miami strip club’s most popular attractions, but Tootsie’s management isn’t willing to discuss his apparent employment, TMZ reports. When approached for comment regarding Johnson’s status as a guest DJ, the club’s operators were reportedly “tight-lipped.”

Still, the Kansas City Star points out that Johnson’s alleged role at Tootsie’s makes a good deal of sense, given the former running back’s housing situation. The 33-year-old lives in North Bay Village Fla., mere miles away from the Miami strip club.

The former Penn State University standout isn’t the first NFL star to show up at Tootsie’s Cabaret. Aaron Hernandez, the former New England Patriots player who stands accused of murdering 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, was spotted at the club shortly before he allegedly shot his friend, Alexander Bradley, in the face in February, TMZ reports.

Johnson also encountered his share of legal trouble while playing in the NFL. The 33-year-old has been arrested several times over the last decade, over charges ranging from aggravated assault to domestic abuse, the Kansas City Star reports.

Johnson spent nine years in the NFL, rushing for over 6,000 yards and 55 touchdowns as a member of the Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Washington Redskins, and Miami Dolphins.
