An entire terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) was closed down for nearly an hour Wednesday morning due to a breach in security.

Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) spokesman Nico Melendez told The Associated Press that a man tried to evade security at Terminal 1, which houses Southwest Airlines. Melendez said what could have been drug paraphernalia was spotted in the man's carry-on bag around 6 a.m. PST.

The man was then directed to a secondary screening but instead snatched his bag and bolted into the terminal.

Terminal 1 was then shut down until the man was located.

The man's name was not immediately released, but he was arrested on an outstanding warrant, not for the security breach.
