Leonardo DiCaprio, Girlfriend Vacation in Mexico

No Oscar nomination? No problem.

Leonardo DiCaprio has his model girlfriend and a whole lot of vacation time.

DiCaprio, 37, and Erin Heatherton, 22, landed in Mexico earlier this week, and it appears that the new couple will be spending quite some time there. New pictures of their arrival show an SUV stuffed with several pieces of luggage.

On Thursday, DiCaprio and Heatherton ditched the sandy beaches and took part in zip lining a course in an undisclosed location, according to TMZ.

DiCaprio was snubbed earlier this week when nominations for the 84th Academy Awards were announced.

Despite being a favorite during this year's awards season (he was nominated for a Critics Choice Award, Golden Globe Award and a Satellite Award), the J. Edgar star was left out of the Oscar Best Actor category, as were other favorites like Michael Fassbender and Ryan Gosling.

But don't cross DiCaprio completely off the awards season. Both he and his J. Edgar co-star, Armie Hammer, are up for prizes at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, to be handed out on Sunday. DiCaprio is up against Demian Bichir (A Better Life), George Clooney (The Descendants), Jean Dujardin (The Artist) and Brad Pitt (Moneyball).

Heatherton, a Victoria's Secret model, was first spotted with DiCaprio in Australia in December. And despite their new relationship, Heatherton has reportedly already met the other woman in DiCaprio's life: his mother.

According to Page Six, DiCaprio's mother had brunch with the couple on New Year's Day in Los Angeles.

The meeting went well, and Mom and Erin were seen laughing, a source told Page Six.

DiCaprio, who is currently taking a break from filming Baz Luhrmann's big screen adaptation of The Great Gatsby, was previously linked to Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively. The two split in October 2011.
