LG released the flagship G4 recently and it has been garnering quite a lot of attention across the globe. But now it looks like the tech giant is gearing up to release the compact version of the flagship called the “LG G4 Mini.”

In hindsight, the 2014 flagship LG G3’s compact version was named LG G3 S. However, this time around, the company has reportedly opted to stick with the widely used naming convention by appending a “mini” to the flagship name, i.e. LG G4 Mini. On the other hand, an earlier report suggested that, a new device dubbed LG G3c with low-end configurations and relatively small screen is under development. Apparently, this device was first spotted in Europe and the expected release date is June. However, now, a report from Hungary has revealed the existence of the LG G4 Mini.

According to GSM Arena, which apparently ferreted out the information from a Hungarian site Tech2, the LG G4 Mini was sighted in a price list pertaining to Vodafone's local division. But then, readers should note that, the listing was apparently added by mistake and now, the site has taken the content down. However, a screenshot was reportedly taken and therefore, it is evident that Vodafone is preparing for the LG G4 Mini release.

Vodafone has made its presence known in many countries across the globe and hence it is safe to assume that the compact device will in fact see a wider release, opines GSM Arena. The same site also says the LG G4 Mini release date is reportedly pegged for "early summer."

Moving on to the LG G4 Mini specifications, the handset will apparently come with a pocket-friendly 5.0-inch display bundled with 720p screen resolution. Under the hood, the phone is believed to be powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. Meanwhile, even though, the LG G4c is expected to feature the same display specification, the device will apparently be powered by a relatively inferior Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC. This particular configuration mismatch could mean two things: The LG G4 Mini and LG G4c are two different devices catering to various markets across the globe. Or, one of the sources got the configuration information wrong. Nonetheless, readers should note that, the South Korean tech giant has not confirmed the LG G4 Mini specifications and release date thus far.
