After dating for several months, English actress Elizabeth Hurley and former Australian cricketer Shane Warne have officially announced their engagement, which took place in Scotland on Friday.

Warne proposed to Hurley in a hotel on Scotland's famous St. Andrew's golf course, where the couple was enjoying a romantic dinner.

The couple has confirmed the news via Twitter, saying, Thanks for all your congratulations. Here is a pic of us about to go to Dunhill dinner in St. Andrews.”

The romance between the two began after Hurley divorced her then-husband, Indian textile heir, Arun Nayar, in June 2010. Warne divorced his former wife, Simone Callahan, back in 2006, after ten years of marriage.

According to reports in the Daily Mail, Warne proposed to Hurley in the crowded restaurant and she accepted the proposal on the spot. If any further proof were needed, Hurley was recently photographed wearing a large sapphire and diamond engagement ring.

Well... it seems another high-profile wedding is on the cards. The couple will announce the date and details of the “second” big day of their lives (since the marriage will be the second for both of them) shortly.
