It appears RPatz isn’t the only member of the Pattinson family with vocal chops.
The Mirror reports that Lizzy Pattinson, the 31-year-old sister to “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson, 28, recently impressed judges with her talents during an audition for Simon Cowell’s “The X Factor UK.”
“She blew them away with her husky, soulful vocals,” a source of Pattinson’s sister who sang for the likes of Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and former Spice Girl, Mel B. “She’s different to usual ‘X Factor’ contestants, she really stands out,” added the insider.
So does Lizzy have what it takes to be as famous as her “The Rover” film star sibling? Insider says the singer and songwriter, best known for lending her vocals to the first “Twilight” film’s motion soundtrack in 2008, may have a shot.
“She could go all the way,” teased one source.
Unfortunately for Pattinson, her attempts to keep the identity of her A-list family member a secret, was in vain.
“She didn’t mention she was related to him to any judges or producers,” a source said. “It’s important to her she does not fall into the trap of just becoming ‘Rob’s sister.’”
While it is unclear if Pattinson will be ultimately become a featured contestant on the series' upcoming Season 11, the songstress can find solace in knowing that her brother will support her TV venture.
“I know ‘The X Factor’ goes against my musical beliefs and I shouldn’t love it, but I do. I really do,” Pattinson previously said of his love for the program (via E! News). “I am borderline obsessed with Simon Cowell shows and spend my nights in bed watching them on my tablet.”
Pattinson is reportedly scheduled to perform during the program’s live audience auditions at the Wembley Arena in London this weekend.
The series is rumored to return to British airwaves later this summer.
