‘Lucifer’
What will happen to Lucifer (Tom Ellis) in “Lucifer” Season 2, episode 22? FOX

The title for “Lucifer” Season 2, episode 22 has just been announced by the show’s writers.

On the show’s official Twitter account, a copy of the script for “Vegas With Some Radish” was posted. The episode is written by Ildy Modrovich and Sheri Elwood. The installment is directed by Karen Gaviola.

As of late, it is still unclear what the episode will be about, but there are speculations that Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) will be heading to Sin City. The writers of the hit FOX series also said that they purposely put “radish” in the title so that fans will have a hard time guessing what the finale will be centered on.

Meanwhile, “Lucifer” Season 2 was recently cut down from a total of 22 episodes to 18. The four remaining episodes, including “Vegas With Some Radish,” will be part of Season 3. All four installments are standalone so they will not have a direct impact on the plot of Season 2. In fact, the writers assured that the finale episode, which will be episode 18, will be satisfying enough for the fans of the hit TV show.

“We have four episodes at the very end that are going to be completely standalone episodes. One of them is a flashback to Lucifer first arriving in Los Angeles,” Modrovich told TV Line.

Co-showrunner Joe Henderson also posted a lengthy explanation on his Twitter account reminding fans that “Lucifer” Season 2 was supposed to just have 18 episodes. It was only after a few months following the premiere that FOX requested for four additional episodes. However, the network later realized that there will be a conflict in the schedule if they don’t cut down the number of installments.

“Lucifer” Season 2 will return to FOX on May 1 with episode 14 at 9 p.m. EST.
