‘Lucifer’
How will Lucifer (Tom Ellis) deal with the truth behind his angel wings in “Lucifer” Season 3? Fox

Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) will be facing a lot of struggles in “Lucifer” Season 3.

While speaking with TV Line, co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich revealed that the upcoming season of the hit Fox TV series will center on Lucifer’s identity woes. “Our big theme is identity and the wings really tie into that. Am I an angel? Am I the devil? And if someone put these wings on my back, I don’t like it when people tell me who I want to be, so I’m going to figure out who did this,” she said.

In the finale episode last season, Lucifer woke up in the middle of the desert with his angel wings. He is unsure what exactly happened to him or who gave them back to him, but Ellis revealed at the 2017 San Diego Comic Con (via TV Line) that this could have been a gift from Lucifer’s father, God.

According to Modrovich, Lucifer will return to Los Angeles thinking that he has been gone for a long time, but it’s actually only been a few days. By the looks of it, nothing much has happened during this time, but Chloe (Lauren German) would have the impression that Lucifer bailed on her again. After all, this is not the first time that Lucifer has left her without any explanation.

Meanwhile, the arrival of Marcus Pierce (Tom Welling) will cause some problems between Lucifer and Chloe. The police lieutenant develops an interest in Chloe around the same time she realizes that she needs to get out of Lucifer’s crime-solving shadow.

Elsewhere, Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) will be in for some drama in “Lucifer” Season 3. She will soon learn that her best friend now has a new friend, and her ex-lover is already dating someone else.

Additionally, Trixie (Scarlett Estevez) will get to meet the real Charlotte (Tricia Helfer), and they immediately hit it off. Dan (Kevin Alejandro) will become a bit concerned because he previously hooked up with Lucifer’s mom, Charlotte, and he also happens to be Trixie’s dad.

“Lucifer” Season 3 will premiere on Fox on Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. EDT.
