Madonna hit the slopes – literally – in Switzerland with boyfriend Brahim Zaibat after cameras caught her in a face plant to close out 2012.
The 54-year-old Material Girl landed face first during a ski trip in Gstaad, where she was vacationing with Zaibat and her daughters, Lourdes and Mercy, the New York Daily News reported.
The face plant wasn’t the only clumsy move made by Madonna during her trip. The newspaper, which has photos of the nasty falls, said the entertainer “took several spills on the mostly flat trail.”
Madonna’s daughters were more graceful on the slopes than their mother, who just recently finished her worldwide MDNA tour.
Lourdes, 16, didn’t make any face plants as she snowboarded down the Swiss mountain, while Mercy, 6, took to the bunny slopes with a private instructor, according to the Daily News.
The Switzerland trip was a break for Madonna, who ended her MDNA tour on Dec. 22 in Argentina. Billboard listed MDNA as the highest-grossing tour of 2012, bringing in more than $228 million and all 72 shows were sold out. More than 1.6 million fans flocked to see the Material Girl.
The singer, who had previously been linked to New York Yankees shortstop Alex Rodriguez, is continuing in her habit of dating younger men.
Zaibat, 25, is a French model.
