Mama June’s Sister Doe Doe Shannon Shares Makeup-Free Selfies: ‘No Filters Needed’

“Mama June: Road to Redemption” is airing its finale this Friday, but ahead of the last episode, Joanne “Doe Doe” Shannon decided to show off her makeup-free look on social media.

The 56-year-old reality star proudly took to Instagram Wednesday to share a series of selfies she took inside her car. Doe Doe can be seen flashing a big smile in all of the snaps, and she’s also visibly not wearing any makeup in the photos.

“Quick question…..Who goes to do errands with no makeup??? THIS GURL!! No makeup no filters just me. Love yourself first and always,” she wrote in the caption, adding hashtags that included “no filters needed” and “self love.”

Mama June’s older sister’s post was quickly flooded with positive responses from her followers as many of them found her naturally beautiful in the photos.

“You go girl!!!! You are gorgeous without makeup,” one wrote.

“Someone who needs no makeup n is still beautiful,” another commented.

Doe Doe’s post comes a few weeks after Mama June’s youngest daughter, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, made a similar post. On May 25, the 15-year-old We TV star updated her Instagram with a makeup-free selfie.

In the photo she shared, Honey Boo Boo was seen sporting a natural look as she was barefaced and did not have her signature false lashes and lip gloss on. She also addressed her critics in the caption saying she does not care what they think of her because she lives her life “my way.”

Prior to her post, Alana had been getting a lot of comments and criticisms on her maturing style as she was always seen wearing false lashes, makeup and even fake acrylic nails.

Meanwhile, the teaser trailer for the finale episode of their show “Mama June: Road to Redemption” is out, and it appears the last episode for this season will focus more on the verdict on June and her boyfriend Geno Doak’s case.

As shown in the snippet, Doe Doe and Mama June’s kids are standing outside of the Macon County courthouse in Alabama. “Here I am again standing outside of the Macon County courthouse,” Doe Doe said in the clip before it jumps to a scene where Mama June walks out during her confessional with Geno.

The finale episode of “Mama June: Road to Redemption” airs Friday at 9 p.m. EDT on We TV.
