Police are searching for a man who robbed a Florida back wearing an Albert Einstein mask over the weekend.

The man held up a Wells Fargo Bank in Venice, Fla., around noon Saturday and left with an undetermined amount of cash, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. Authorities did not tell the paper if the man had a gun or what he said to the bank teller he walked up to.

The suspect fled in a red sedan driven by an unknown accomplice, the paper reported. When a witness tried to catch the man in the Einstein mask, the suspect sprayed his face with pepper spray.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect and his accomplice. If you have information about the robbery in Venice, contact the office at 941-861-5800 or the Crime Stoppers hotline at 941-366-TIPS.
