Pack your bags for Wembley Stadium, Sir Alex.

In a surprisingly high scoring match, Manchester United have jumped out to a 2-1 half time lead on Schalke 04 at Old Trafford thanks to goals by Antonio Valencia and Darron Gibson.

But a Schalke goal in the 35th minute by Jose Jurado has made the outcome of the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals more interesting.

Manchester United has a 4-1 aggregate lead.

The half started out slow, but then the attacking picked up in the final 20 minutes, as Gibson has been the man of the match.

Valencia scored in the 26th minute off a fantastic through ball from Gibson. The Ecuador attacker slid the ball past Manuel Neuer to get United on the board.

Gibson came right back five minutes later with a strike of his own that Neuer, a potential starting goalkeeper for Manchester United, botched as the ball went off his hands and into the back of the net.

But Schalke would go on the offensive. Jurado's goal came at the expense of suspect defending as Manchester United conceded their first goal of the semi-finals.

Prior to the Valencia goal, the story of the match was who wasn't in the starting 11 for Manchester United. The Red Devils have a defensive line of Rafael, Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans, and John O'Shea. The midfield is composed of Paul Scholes, Anderson, and Gibson, and forwards Nani, Valencia, and Dimitar Berbatov.

Edwin van der Sar was thought to sit in the match, but is in the lineup tonight.

Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Michael Carrick and Patrice Evra didn't start the semifinal match, as a match with second-place Chelsea awaits in Premier League action.
