Mardy Fish, the lone American remaining in the Wimbledon field, advanced in straight sets, 7-6, 6-4, 6-4, Monday afternoon against sixth-seeded Thomas Berdych.

Fish advanced to the quarterfinals of a grand-slam tournament for the first time since the 2008 U.S. Open in New York. The winner of Monday's match between French Open champion Rafael Nadal and Juan Martin Del Potro will play Fish in the quarterfinals.
