Mariah Carey won’t be belting out any of her hit songs — or any song for that matter — at her and fiancé James Packer’s wedding. The “One Sweet Day” singer gave a little update on wedding preparations, revealing she had no plans to perform at her own nuptials.

“Why would you sing at your own wedding,” she said to People magazine. “It’s obnoxious!”

Carey also said that her wedding had to be pushed back because of her tour but that she's already picked out a wedding dress. Everyone will have to wait until the day of the ceremony to find out which designer she chose, however.

As previously reported, Carey and Packer are expected to marry this summer on the island of Barbuda in the Caribbean. According to TMZ, the ceremony will be small — only 50 guests — and will take place next month.

Radar Online reported that the Australian businessman and Carey have no plans to sign a prenuptial agreement because she supposedly convinced him they don't need one. “She told him that she really doesn’t need his money because she has plenty of her own,” a source told the outlet.

Carey and Packer got engaged last year after dating for seven months. According to reports, he popped the question with a massive 35-carat engagement ring, estimated to worth $8 million. “It’s hideous. Take it away, take it away. I was insulted, I couldn’t believe,” Carey joked about her diamond ring in a February interview with Reuters, adding that the proposal was amazing, and she was very excited.

Carey, 46, was previously married to Nick Cannon, with whom she has two kids. The pair ended their six-year marriage in December 2014.
