Actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar announced Thursday his engagement to Catriona McGinn, an advertising executive.

Gosselaar proposed last week by giving McGinn a five-carat ring designed by jeweler Neil Lane, a friend of his. "He couldn't wait to propose," Lane told People magazine. "He was so excited to have found the woman of his dreams."

Gosselaar told US Weekly, "She's absolutely gorgeous, she's stunning, and she takes my breath away." He added, "My kids absolutely adore her."

There is no word yet as to the date of the wedding.

Gosselaar currently stars as one of the title characters of the TNT legal comedy series "Franklin & Bash," which was recently picked up for a second season.

The former "Saved by the Bell" star completed his divorce from ex-wife Lisa Ann Russel in May and has quickly recovered since then.

Gosselaar and Russell were married for 15 years and have two children from the marriage. He cited irreconcilable differences in his divorce filed in June 2010.
