MAFS First Year
(From left) Cortney Hendrix, Jason Carrion, Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis will not be on TV this week. “Married at First Sight: The First Year” Season 2 is on a short hiatus. FYI

“Married at First Sight: The First Year” fans will have to wait an extra week to catch up with their favorite newlyweds. The FYI reality show will not air a new episode on Tuesday. Instead, another drama will have an extended episode.

The season finale of “Bride and Prejudice” is taking over the “MAFS: First Year” timeslot. The two-hour episode will start an hour earlier than usual at 9 p.m. EDT. The couples, who are engaged to someone that their family doesn’t approve of, will have to decide if they can make it down the aisle.

When “Married at First Sight: The First Year” Season 2 returns, fans are in for a treat. Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis will continue to find interesting ways to spend time together. In episode 13, they’ll go on a ghost hunt.

Meanwhile, Jason Carrion and Cortney Hendrix will have deal with slightly more serious issues. They’ll even bring in sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz to help them deal with their recent arguments. “Dr. Pepper meets with Cortney about controlling her rage; and Jason surprises Cortney with a trip,” the synopsis reveals.

The two have been very stressed lately, so a trip might be just what they need. It would also be a good spot for Jason to finally give Cortney the engagement ring she really wants, but it isn’t clear if she’ll still get a sparkling rock. After all, throwing her other wedding ring down the drain during a fight probably didn’t make Jason feel great about paying for a new diamond. Fans will have to tune in to see what happens on their vacation.

“Married at First Sight: The First Year” Season 2, episode 13 airs Tuesday, April 26, at 9 p.m. EDT on FYI.
