President Donald Trump is scheduled to take a medical exam early next year as stated by White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders during a press briefing Thursday.

This announcement came a day after the president slurred during a speech about recognizing Jerusalem the capital city of Israel and moving the American embassy from the city of Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

According to a report by the Washington Post, Sanders after ending the press briefing at the White House decided to come back and discuss the issue surrounding Trump’s health. Sanders, while referring to the questions regarding Trump’s slurring speech, stated that the questions were “ridiculous” in nature.

“The President's throat was dry. Nothing more than that,” Sanders said.

“He does have a physical scheduled for the first part of next year, the full physical that most Presidents go through,” she further said.

Sanders then went on to state that the medical will be taking place at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda and that the reports of the test will be released by the doctor.

Trump was noticed to be struggling with the final words of his speech on Wednesday. As his speech came towards the 45 minute mark, it got more slurred.

This resulted in a huge Twitter reaction where many people mocked Trump for the slur in the speech. The hashtag #DentureDonald was trending. “Daily Show” and stand-up comedian Trevor Noah also took the opportunity to take a dig at the president while playing a video of Trump slurring his words.

Trump in his speech stated the words, “God Bless the United States” and the last word was pronounced as “Shhtates” due to the slur.

The Washington Post report said with regards to Sanders finding the questions regarding Trump’s health “ridiculous”, that a similar incident happened with Hillary Clinton.

The report stated that during the Trump presidency campaign in 2016, the Trump campaign released an advertisement which showed Clinton coughing and getting assisted by people to climb the stairs at a 9/11 memorial.

During the video, a narrator can be heard saying, “ Hillary Clinton doesn't have the fortitude, strength or stamina to lead in our world .”

Trump, during his presidential campaign also attacked Clinton’s mental and physical health. He reportedly said that Clinton “could be crazy,” CNN reported on Oct. 2016

Trump said, “She's got bad temperament. She could be crazy. She could actually be crazy.”

Trump, while referring to Clinton stumbling while going towards her car from a 9/11 ceremony said she did not have the “stamina” to the president of U.S.

Trump said, “She's [Clinton] supposed to fight all of these different things and she can't make it 15 feet to her car?” He then said, “Give me a break! She's home resting right now. She's getting ready for her next speech which is going to be about 2 or 3 minutes."

Trump even tweeted on Clinton’s coughing in Sep. 2016
