Meek Mill’s relationship with Nicki Minaj has been over since the beginning of the year, but that doesn’t mean their break up isn’t fresh in his mind. Following the release of his new album “Wins & Losses,” fans began to notice lyrics from a song directed at both his ex and her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels.

In one song off the album, titled “1942 Flows,” the rapper seems to talk about his break up with Minaj, alluding that he was the one who ended the romance, rather than her calling things off.

“Cut her off, act like she’s dead and it’s killing her,” he raps on the song , hinting that Minaj was hurt over the split.

“Try to crucify me like I’m Jesus the way she cross me,” he goes on to add.

The artist addresses his former girlfriend another time, as well as calling out her ex Samuels too.

“Bloggers in the frenzy, truck to the Bentley/Ain’t doing no interviews,” he raps in the third verse, most likely referring to Samuels constantly mentioning Minaj in interviews.

“So when you see me out don’t ask me about no Nicki,” he continues.

Meek Mill’s direct jab at Samuels comes with lyrics asking how he would look “telling my business on Wendy,” which seems to indicate he wouldn’t lower himself to speaking about his relationship on a talk show just to get press.

The MMG rapper is referring to the “Wendy Williams Show” which Samuels has appeared on and shared intimate details regarding his relationship with Minaj. Samuels was also able to land a role on the VH1 series “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood,” due to his past relationship with Minaj.

Almost two weeks ago, Meek Mill revealed that his new album would be something from the heart, consisting of details about his life and experiences.

“Wins & Losses is my new album and I’m just breaking down the wins & losses of my life,” he said in a statement.

“It’s all about what molded me into being Meek Mill today and the trials and tribulations of my life that made me bigger and better,” he added.

Minaj announced she and Meek Mill had split on Jan.5 in the form of a tweet. “To confirm, yes I am single. Focusing on my work & looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon. Have a blessed New Year. Love u,” she wrote.

The two reportedly broke up during her birthday weekend in December, according to TMZ. The rappers traveled to Turks and Caicos for a vacation and weren’t on the best of terms because the “R.I.C.O.” artist was spending his time with his friends rather than Minaj.

The “No Frauds” rapper reportedly started a heated argument with her then-beau, which resulted in him packing up his things and leaving the island. Upset by the drama, Minaj simply ended the relationship after that.

Minaj has yet to respond to Meek Mill’s song directed toward her but the “Regret in Your Tears” rapper is known to take her time when replying to a diss and usually does it in the form of a song.
