The concert will be called "Michael Forever--The Tribute Concert." It is a one time only event that will be shown around the world in 2D and 3D. Cardiff's Millennium Theatre was chosen as the venue and can house 75,000 people.

"We wanted to do something decent and worthy of Michael's musical genius yet something fun and authentic that you would envision Michael attending with excitement and joy surrounded by talent that he respected and loved," stated Chris Hunt, president of Global Live Events who is organizing the concert event. The concert celebration would take place on Oct. 8, but the line up has yet to be announced. "When I was told some of the names of the artists performing I knew it would be fit for a king. If my son was here today he would feel the same way," Michael's mother, Katherine, stated at a Los Angeles press conference. Tito Jackson added: "I know my brother would be very proud to see all the artists that he admired and respected so much come together for this special event."

Most of the Jackson family is really excited for the concert that is scheduled to be no less than 4 hours long. They look forward to this special night that would celebrate Michael's work in light of the 40th anniversary of his solo career. "I will be there along with as many members of my family that can make it. It is intended to be the biggest and best concert in the world for many years to come," Katherine said. "This is an exciting moment for Michael Jackson fans from around the world," Hunt said. However, brothers Jermaine and Randy do not seem as enthusiastic about the concert. "While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honours our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death...As everyone knows, Those proceedings commence September 20."

Despite the time of the concert, the show will on. "This extra special concert, paying tribute to one of the world's greatest pop icons of all time, is fantastic news for music fans all over the world and it is a huge boost for Wales to host this spectacular one-off show. It's going to be unique and truly extraordinary," Hunt said. Wales will be booming around the time of the concert as fans will be swarming to the venue from every corner of the world. Hotels and restaurants will be packed and all of this business will help Wale's economy. "I'm proud that once again the eyes of the world will be on Wales."

Proceeds from the concert will be donated to three charities Michael Jackson supported: The Prince's Trust, a cancer charity, and Project Los Angeles.

The line up for the concert will be revealed on Aug. 3 and tickets go on sale Aug. 4. "This tribute will be something spectacular and I know that he would approve," said Lo Toya Jackson.
