Is Microsoft’s Kinect more than just gaming?

Redmond-based Windows giant Microsoft has revealed that the company’s new Kinect gaming technology will be helpful in solving problems related to health care.

Craig Mundie, head of research and strategy at Microsoft Corp. has displayed how the Kinect can be a useful technology for dealing with several medical problems.

The strategy head said that the technology will be available for the Xbox 360 users in the coming few weeks.

Microsoft will be hoping to beat other organizations who are also trying to enter the health sector, ITProPortal reported.
