Miley Cyrus fans hoping to see the singer with a new beau would be disappointed with the latest news. Romance rumors between the “Wrecking Ball” crooner and comedian Dane Cook are not true, as confirmed by the funnyman himself.

Earlier this week, dating rumors started when a source revealed to Us Weekly that Cyrus and Cook were “hooking up.” The report further stated how the former Disney star once said that she likes “funny men.”

However, E!News caught up with the actor and comedian, wherein Cook responded to the romance news with a joke. The actor said, "I'm always the last to know these things. Just let Miley know that I'll pick her up for dinner at 8."

What a clever way to deny the dating rumors. Despite romance news, the two stars have been longtime friends. The singer and the “Good Luck Chuck” actor reportedly enjoyed an impromptu dance party in December 2013 at a club in Los Angeles, according to Us Weekly.

In March this year, the 22-year-old artist even reposted a someecards message that Cook originally uploaded in Instagram. The message read, “Don’t you ever let someone treat you like a yellow Starburst. You are a pink Starburst.”

Cyrus also tagged Cook in the Instagram post. The message was reportedly uploaded by the former “Hannah Montana” star after her then boyfriend, Patrick Schwarzenegger, was spotted doing body shots off a model during spring break.

Since her split with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s oldest son, Cyrus has been linked romantically with a few people, the most recent is with the Victoria’s Secret model, Stella Maxwell. The two have been spotted holding hands together and was even caught kissing each other last July, reported E!News.

An E! source even said that Maxwell and Cyrus "hanging out now and they really like one another."

Meanwhile, Cyrus has yet to comment on the latest dating rumors.
