Minka Kelly is officially out of Derek Jeter's life. But what went wrong? The couple complemented each other so well that the break-up news seems hard to digest. Kelly is undoubtedly polite and successful and he's a very professionally talented athlete. This is just what you would call a perfect match.

The couple has not given any word in the public about the reason for the end of their three-year-old relationship. All seemed well until recently. Kelly's representative recently told the magazine People of their break-up.

They care about each other and it was amicable. They're still friends, People quoted a source as saying.

Kelly is 31 and Jeter is 37. Could it be that the actress gave the sportsman a marriage ultimatum?

The couple had been together from around October 2008 and it was a great start when Jeter admitted to SI.com that he watches Friday Night Lights and thinks it is a great show, and gave a hearty laugh when asked about Minka and him being together. There were reports of the couple getting married in November 2010, which the couple's representatives denied.

The gorgeous lady was seen cheering for her man at the New York Yankees game in July. When he hit his 3000th hit out of the park, a very emotional Kelly stood by his side and looked genuinely happy and proud of her man. In less than a month, a strong relationship has come crashing down.
