Soon after Miss Universe 2011 contest, with Leila Lopes from Angola as the winner, the rumors of the selected contestants and venue of the 2012 pageant was already in the air.

With the announcement on Facebook’s Miss Universe fan page about the expected contestants of 2012 contest and the details on Wikipedia, the new buzz has left its followers in a fix.

According to a report on Blogspot.com, the 2012 Miss Universe contest will be held in in Panama city, Central America, and it would be the third time that a Central American country will host Miss Universe contest after 1886 and 2003.

But if the Facebook’s Miss Universe 2011 fan page is to be believed, it will be held in Philippines.

“Venue will be in Bacolod city, Negros Occidental, Philippines. The pageant will be held in the soon-to-be-built Convention Center to be built by the Ayala Group of Companies behind the provincial capital,” according to a post on the Facebook fan page.

Wikipedia has recently posted details about the 2012 contest, including the ten selected contestants, as of Sept. 28, 2011.

According to the list, Miss Bolivia, Miss Korea, Miss British Virgin Islands, Miss Cayman Islands, Miss Mexico, Miss Norway, Miss Serbia, Miss Switzerland, Miss Montenegro and Miss Mauritius have made it to the 2012 Miss Universe Contests.

Miss Universe 2012 will be the 61st Miss Universe pageant and Lopes, the current Miss Universe from Angola, will crown her successor.
