Dan Butler as Father Romanov, Frances Conroy as Nathalie
In Season 1, episode 7 of “The Mist,” Nathalie (Frances Conroy) and Father Romanov (Dan Butler) confront each other following Link’s (Dylan Authors) apparent demise. Spike

Kevin (Morgan Spector), Mia (Danica Curcic), Jonah (Okezie Morro) and Adrian (Russell Posner) find refuge in the remaining fog-free area of the hospital in Season 1, episode 7 of “The Mist.”

According to the synopsis for the upcoming episode, Kevin and his companions find an unlikely sanctuary in the psych wing of the hospital. At the end of Season 1, episode 6, the hospital’s electric doors opened after the generator cut out, allowing the mist to enter the facility. Kevin and his group were heading back to their car when the mist outside the hospital got thicker. Mia thought that they would get caught in the mist if they continue their way to the car, so she diverted the group to the hospital’s psyche ward where the doors will stay shut.

As revealed in episode 6, Mia’s mom spent a lot of time at a psychiatric ward, so it makes sense why Mia knows a thing or two about security measures in such portions of hospitals.

Also in episode 7, Nathalie (Frances Conroy) and Father Romanov (Dan Butler) face off. In episode 6, Nathalie continued to talk about the Black Spring to some of the people at the church. When Father Romanov took a passive attempt to get her to stop, one of the church parishioners, Link (Dylan Authors), took things into his own hands. Link violently took Nathalie to a room in the church tower and began hitting her. After getting punched in the face, Nathalie managed to break the stained glass in the room and trap Link inside. Although the episode didn’t exactly show what happened to Link, Nathalie told the people at the church that the mist saved her from him.

With Link’s presumed death, how will Father Romanov react? In the trailer teasing the rest of the season, Father Romanov is seen parading a naked Nathalie around the church. Does this mean Father Romanov has convinced Nathalie to repent for her sins?

Elsewhere in next week’s episode, tensions at the mall start to escalate over the remaining food rations. “There’s this theory that we’re always just nine meals away from anarchy,” Eve (Alyssa Sutherland) tells her group at the mall in the trailer. “Take away food, take away water … people start doing bad things.”

“The Mist” Season 1, episode 7, titled “Over the River and Through the Woods,” airs on Thursday, Aug. 3 at 10 p.m. EDT on Spike. Watch the trailer below:
