Days after a stun gun was found at Newark International Airport, two stun guns were found in checked baggage at another metro New York City airport, John F. Kennedy (JFK), officials said on Tuesday.

A screener from the Transportation Security Administration at JFK found the two stun guns in the checked luggage of a man who was waiting to board a Lufthansa Flight to Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday evening, according to TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein.

The man was later arrested and described only as a 53-year-old white man according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the airport.

Though TSA generally allows passengers to pack stun guns and certain specified weapons in checked baggage, stun guns are illegal in the state of New York, Farbstein said.

Meanwhile, the FBI continues to investigate the incident last Friday at Newark where a stun gun resembling a cell phone was found by cleaning crew after JetBlue Airways Flight 1179 landed from Boston.
