Even celebrities take a second to focus on their moms on Mother’s Day. Plenty of actors, models and singers went to social media to tell all of their fans how much they appreciated their mothers. Some, like Justin Bieber, wrote long posts about how much they learned from their family matriarchs. Others just posted a simple “Happy mother’s day” along with a photo, like Melissa Rivers’ picture with her mother, the late Joan Rivers, and her son Edgar.

Check out a few others who kept their messages short and sweet below:

Other celebrities, like “Glee” star Lea Michele and “Orange is the New Black” actress Uzo Aduba, posted pictures with their moms. Some famous faces posted throwbacks to when their mothers were raising them, while other actors showed that they were spending the day with their moms or the mother of their own children.

Some actors even took time out to wish their friends a happy Mother’s Day. Jeremy Renner passed on some good wishes to his “Avengers: Age of Ultron” co-star Scarlett Johansson, who gave birth to her daughter Rose in September.

A couple celebrity moms even used the day to do some good and tweeted about charity initiatives. “Buffy” veteran Sarah Michelle Gellar supports No Kid Hungry while “Nashville” actress Connie Britton tweeted about the Worldwide Orphans Foundation.

Hilary Duff is another mother who didn’t want the spotlight on her special day. The “Younger” actress posted a photo of her 3-year-old son, Luca Cruz Comrie, on Twitter and thanked him for being her son.
