A product named Moto E3 Power has received Wi-Fi certification on June 28. Rumors have it that it will be launched as Lenovo Vibe C2.

Previous leaks have suggested that the model number of the upcoming Moto E 2016 smartphone is XT1706. The same model number belongs to Moto E3 Power that was recently certification from Wi-Fi Alliance.

According to Android Headlines that cites information from WinFuture has revealed that the 2016 Moto E will be rebranded as Lenovo Vibe C2. Earlier this year, Lenovo had launched Snapdragon 210 powered Vibe C smartphone in India, Android Headlines reported.

In major markets it may carry the Moto moniker, but it is expected to launch as Vibe C2 in Chinese and ASEAN markets. The Lenovo brand is more popular than Motorola in such markets.

The Moto E (2016) aka Lenovo Vibe C2 will be arriving in two storage variants with model numbers XT1700 and XT1706. Both the models will be sporting similar specs.

The Vibe C2 will be coming with a 5-inch screen. It will be fueled by MediaTek MT6753P chipset and 1 GB or 2 GB of RAM. The chipset is rumored to include a 1GHz quad-core processor.

It is expected to arrive in two storage versions of 8 GB and 16 GB. There is no confirmation on whether the Vibe C2 will feature a microSD card.

The Vibe C2 is rumored to include a stock edition of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. It is rumored to be equipped with a 2,750 mAh capacity battery.

In 2015, Motorola had launched a dedicate version of Moto E with LTE support. However, the Moto E (2016) is pegged to arrive with LTE support.

Even the Moto E3 Power has been certified by Wi-Fi Alliance, it does not mean that its release is imminent. However, if handset will undergo FCC or TENAA, it will indicate that the release date is close at hand.
