Motorola introduced three incredible handsets recently that cater to different interests. The devices include the Moto X Style, Moto X Play and the Moto G 2015. The Moto G can now be purchased, but the Moto X versions have not yet been released. In the meantime, Motorola is offering a discount on the Moto X 2014, also known as Moto X Gen 2, through Amazon.

Since the release dates of the next-generation Moto X models are coming close, the Moto X Gen 2 price has been cut to $299 (unlocked!) on Amazon. This handset can be purchased in black with a leather back panel, black with a soft-touch back or white with a bamboo back. The Amazon version of the Moto X works with GSM network carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile and also from the prepaid carriers like MetroPCS and Straight Talk, among other, noted Phone Arena.

As an upper midrange device, the Moto X 2014 or Moto X (Gen 2) specifications include a 5.2-inch AMOLED display, aided by 1,080 x 1,920-pixel screen resolution. The smartphone comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip, in combination with a quad-core Krait 400 processor, running at 2.5 GHz. The graphics side of things is taken care by Adreno 330, and the handset comes backed by 2 GB of RAM.

The Moto X Gen 2 come equipped with 16 GB of native storage and microSD card support for further expansion. There is also a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera unit, in addition to a 2-megapixel forward-facing unit. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and the device houses a 2,300 mAh battery unit.
