After shooting the fifth season this summer in New Jersey, MTV will say goodbye to Snooki and the Situation. A new cast will be the stars of next season's Jersey Shore, TMZ reports. MTV plans to hire a new group of guidos that will sign contracts for less money, while giving the current stars their own spinoff reality television shows.

Season four, which was filmed in Florence, will premiere August 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
