World number one Rafael Nadal and number two Novak Djokovic will lead a team of top tennis players for a soccer match against Fort Lauderdale Strikers professional team in a charity match for aiding the relief effort in Japan.

Andy Murray and David Ferrer are among the other players making up the tennis team. The match will take place at a high school in Miami on Wednesday night after which a fundraising dinner is planned. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross Japan disaster relief effort.

Both Nadal and Djokovic are currently in South Florida to participate in the Sony Ericsson Open. Djokovic, who won the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells last week, did so with messages of support for Japan written on his knee tape.
