Lonzo Ball seems to be struggling to move on from the Los Angeles Lakers’ decision to include him in the trade package that brought Anthony Davis to Los Angeles. Ball along with Josh Hart and Brandon Ingram was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans for the power forward just prior to the official start of the offseason.

The 21-year-old point guard was the second overall pick during the 2017 NBA Draft and was highly regarded within the Lakers franchise and the NBA. He was keen to remain in Los Angeles and continues to air his displeasure after having been traded, which included throwing shade at Lakers in his recent song.

The Lakers were desperate to sign Davis this summer ahead of other interested teams after he made himself available for trade. They parted with three players and future first-round picks to win the race for the forward and Ball was not impressed at being included in the deal and revealed recently that he only found out about him being traded on Twitter.

The young point guard also admitted that it was difficult not to take it personally, since it was the team that got rid of him and it was not a mutual decision. Ball will line up alongside Hart and Ingram for the Pelicans and could prove the Lakers wrong, as they only retained Kyle Kuzma, who was the fourth member of the young core in Los Angeles.

"No, I found out on Twitter. We was in the car. We had just left my grandfather's house on the way to (brother LaMelo's) Drew League game," Ball said during an interview on Real 92.3. "That's how we found out. ... I don't know everybody's situation, but that's how we all found out."

"I think you should," Ball added while admitting that he had an idea about being traded due to all the rumors and the Lakers’ desire to sign a superstar like Davis. "I mean, like, they got rid of you. They don't want you no more, so you got to take it personal."
