The Golden State Warriors are truly undergoing changes all across the organization this summer apart from just the playing staff and the new arena. The recently dethroned champions are moving to their new Chase Center arena in the San Francisco Bay from their previous Oracle Arena in Oakland.

Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston have left the team while D’Angelo Russell has been their biggest acquisition of the summer. On Thursday, the Warriors announced the return of another former player, not to the roster but as a front office consultant – two-time NBA champion Zaza Pachulia.

The 35-year-old won two titles with the Warriors in 2017 and 2018 before moving on to spend the 2018-19 campaign with the Detroit Pistons. He has ended his 16-year NBA career to join the front office and the former center revealed that he was excited to begin the new era with his former employers.

"I'm super excited and looking forward to it," Pachulia said in a text message, as quoted on NBA.com. "It's going to be a fun process."

The Warriors also announced a number of other changes and additions to the front office and coaching staff. Ex-forward Mike Dunleavy Jr. was promoted to assistant general manager, while four new player development coaches were brought in as the focus shifts on youth for the former Bay Area team.

It was announced Thursday that Aaron Miles, Theo Robertson, Luke Loucks and Seth Cooper will join the team as player development coaches with the already unchanged coaching staff that includes head coach Steve Kerr, assistants Mike Brown, Jarron Collins, Bruce Fraser, Ron Adams and assistant coach and director of player development Chris DeMarco.

Miles arrives into the Warriors coaching set up after spending two seasons as the head coach of the Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s G-League affiliate. He led them to a 34-16 record this season, which was the second best in franchise history.

Theo Robertson arrives after spending the past season as the assistant video coordinator for the Detroit Pistons. He has previously spent time with the Warriors as video intern and coordinator, while also having been the assistant coach on the Los Angeles Lakers team during the 2016-17 season.
