February is a big month for fans of the yellow haired ninja, as it’s the release date of “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Bandai Namco has decided to release a new trailer for the game, showcasing one of the biggest storylines in the anime and manga: The Great Shinobi War.

The trailer has a lot of action and characters, which should please fans of the series. Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and the others join in using their spectacular jutsu moves on their opponents to end this war once and for all.

Gamers in Japan are quite lucky, as Gematsu has confirmed that a Japanese demo will be coming to the PS4. It takes 759MB of space, so it’s not much and should give fans a taste of what’s to come.

Since this is a new version of “Ultimate Ninja Storm” a number of improvements have been made to balance the gameplay and make things more fair and enjoyable. Forbes has confirmed that the game will now have a tag team mechanic, which is new to the series and “Naruto” video games in general.

Previous games had players choose a fighter and two supporting characters. The supporting characters could be used for extra attacks and interesting combos, but they would never get involved in the fight itself, leaving it to the two combatants.

Now that the game has tag team battles, it seems like every member of the party is now involved in a fight. Of course it wasn’t stated that the previous option was completely demolished, so it’s possible that this will simply be an optional match type that the player can choose.

The trailer showcases both the story mode and adventure mode, along with the aforementioned combat and tag team mechanics. Adventure mode takes place after the main storyline where Naruto and two teammates of his choosing can partake in extra missions for rewards.

“Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” is solicited for a Feb. 4 release date in Japan and a Feb. 9 release date worldwide. It should be a fitting finale for the series and it will be interesting to see if there are any other “Naruto” games that will come afterwards.
