The mid-range Sony Xperia C5 Ultra was launched alongside the upper-mid-range Xperia M5 smartphone, very recently. Now, the pricing and availability have been revealed by Sony Hong Kong.

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra will be made available in Hong Kong starting Aug. 14. It will set the buyers back by 3,298 HKD (about $425) for the unlocked, dual-SIM model. Therefore, the international price will also be in a similar ambit, notes Phone Arena.

Sony Mobile says the smartphone features a huge 6.0-inch display, packed with 1080p screen resolution. It is powered by an octa-core (MediaTek MT6752) processor, clocked at 1.7 GHz and backed by a good 2 GB of RAM. This handset comes with a thickness of 8.2 mm and it weighs 187 g. The device runs on Android v5.0 Lollipop, out of the box.

For camera configuration, the Xperia C5 Ultra has a solid 13 MP rear-facing unit, in addition to a killer 13 MP front-facing shooter for selfies and video chats. The camera unit at the front and the back features LED flash. Moreover, the phone comes equipped with 16 GB of native storage space and microSD card slot for further expansion. The entire configuration is held together and powered by a 2,930 mAh battery unit.

In any case, readers should note that, this device is not water-resistant like other Sony handsets. Plus, during the press conference, Sony apparently acknowledged that the Xperia C5 Ultra will be launched only in emerging markets.
