Samsung expected to reveal Nexus Prime Oct.19 Reuters

Samsung's Nexus Prime awaits its release date as its rumor mills keep spinning, and finally, the Japanese Network NTT DoCoMo has spilled the beans through a Twitter post, signaling that the phone will be released in early November with the highly anticipated Android ice-cream sandwich software.

Initially Samsung and Google were set to unveil their latest product and software on Oct.11 in Hong Kong, but both companies delayed it: Samsung and Google decide to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall, the two companies said in a statement.

We agree that it is just not the right time to announce a new product. This led many to believe that the companies were postponing Nexus Prime debut out of consideration for those mourning Steve Jobs, Apple's co-founder and visionary, who died earlier this month. Others thought it down to patent fears.

The new date for the event titled Something Big is Oct.19th at 10am in Hong Kong, according to NTT DoCoMo.

Meanwhile, a recent leaked report, which allegedly came from the U.S phone carrier Verizon, indicated that the contract price for the phone would be $299, according to Engadget. One of the biggest rumors surrounding the phone has been that Verizon will be the exclusive carrier of the phone.

Samsung and Google are also expected to unveil the new Galaxy Nexus Prime together with the latest version of Android OS, named Ice Cream Sandwich. The sandwich is going to be the first from android to combine the Android OS, which had split into two strands, Gingerbread for smartphones and Honeycomb for larger display tablets. Ice Cream Sandwich will be suitable for both tablet and phone. The event will mark the most anticipated tech launch after the iPhone 4S, which went on sale on Friday and topped record sales of four million units over the weekend.

While neither company has confirmed the unveiling of either product, the fact that both Samsung and Google are hosting the event together has led to the speculation.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus is expected to be a pure Google Experience device without any third party UI or modifications, BGR reported.

Here are the features expected to be unveiled by Samsung and Google:
