Neymar struck a sensational goal to put Barcelona in front against Paris Saint-Germain just before halftime of their Champions League clash at the Camp Nou. In a match to decide which of the European giants tops the group en route to the last 16, Neymar produced a moment of brilliance to give Barcelona the lead and turn around a game in which they had trailed 1-0.
The Brazilian drove into space before, from 25 yards out and with little back lift, he curled a precision effort over the dive of PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu and into the corner of the visitors’ net. The goal was Neymar’s third in the Champions League this season.
Former Barcelona forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic had earlier given PSG the lead in a game from which they only need a point in order to finish top and secure, in theory, a simpler draw in the first knockout round. But Barcelona hit back four minutes later through Lionel Messi, before Neymar’s starring contribution.
