Week 8 of the 2014 NFL season marks the halfway point for most teams, and with nearly a third of the league at three games over .500 or better, a few teams are looking to separate themselves from the rest of football.

The Denver Broncos have a chance to put themselves in a position to claim the top seed in the AFC for a third straight year. Peyton Manning and Co. will play on short rest in an important divisional matchup on “Thursday Night Football.” The San Diego Chargers, who led the AFC West until their loss in Week 7, are getting more than a touchdown on the road.

No team is favored by double-digits, but the Dallas Cowboys are the week’s biggest favorites, as they continue to prove that they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders. “America’s Team” is giving 9.5 points to the visiting Washington Redskins on “Monday Night Football.”

Two of the games with the smallest point spreads in Week 8 feature underdogs that have been playing particularly well. Both the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens are in first place at 5-2, but they are also getting 1.5 points on the road. The Packers head to New Orleans, where no team has won since 2012, and the Ravens visit the Cincinnati Bengals, whom they lost to in the season opener.

Green Bay vs. New Orleans is expected to be a shootout, with the over/under set at 54.5 total points. The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets have the week's lowest over/under at 41 points.
