The 2014 NFL season is nearing its midway point, with many storylines developing. Perhaps the most notable is the number of key injuries sustained in Week 6.

The New York Giants’ Victor Cruz, the New England Patriots’ Jerod Mayo and Stevan Ridley, the Detroit Lions’ Calvin “Megatron” Johnson, and the Philadelphia Eagles’ Darren Sproles will all be sidelined in Week 7, and in the case of Cruz, for the entire season.

Week 7 also offers some very tantalizing matchups, including a possible Super Bowl preview when the Denver Broncos host the San Francisco 49ers on “Sunday Night Football.” Another game to keep an eye on is an NFC East showdown between the Giants and Dallas Cowboys.
