Is Nicki Minaj Pregnant? ‘No Frauds’ Rapper Teases Pregnancy On Twitter

Nicki Minaj caused quite a frenzy on Monday night when she took to her Twitter account to share a simple post that in turn caused frantic reactions from her fans who believed that the star could be pregnant.

The rapper tweeted out a baby emoji which left her fanbase, The Kingdom, wondering if that was her way of announcing a pregnancy. The star also liked several posts from fans speculating about the potential pregnancy. “Are you pregnant? do not play with me,” one fan wrote.

Minaj also liked posts revealing that her fans wanted her fourth studio album rather than a pregnancy announcement. “We said ‘DROP THE ALBUM’ not drop a baby....... @NICKIMINAJ,” another fan tweeted.

“The kingdom hella selfish they ain’t even congratulating her they on their way to push it back up until the album drops lmfao @NICKIMINAJ,” one fan wrote.

Although Minaj has yet to clarify why she chose to post a baby emoji, the star has previously expressed her desire for children sooner rather than later. In 2014, Minaj told Complex that she hopes that she will have a child by her fifth studio album.

“If I’m done with my fifth album and I don’t have a child by then, no matter how much money I have, I would be disappointed, as a woman, because I feel like I was put here to be a mother,” she told the publication.

Minaj explained that her career has kept from making certain decisions when it comes to her personal life. “I have definitely put off the wife thing because I don’t want people in my business. I’d rather not do anything that’s going to be on paper but I definitely will be married before I have my baby,” she said.

“I want to make sure I do it in that order. I’ve always felt like that since I was young; my mother always put that in my head. By the fifth album, I will have walked down the aisle and I will at least be on baby number one, possibly baby number two,” the “Regret in Your Tears” artist added.

Following her split from Meek Mill in the beginning of the year, Minaj was romantically linked to Nas in May. The rapper addressed her relationship with the “Illmatic” artist during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“He’s the king. He is the King of Queens, and I’d like to think I’m the Queen of Queens. Well, he’s a rap legend so let’s just say that I have a lot of respect for him. And, you know, he’s kind of cute, too,” Minaj told the talk show host.

Although the baby news is exciting, some fans noted that Minaj has been working on her fourth studio album for a long time and her latest tweet could be her way of referring to the EP as her baby.

Minaj, who is known for teasing her fans before making a big announcement, has not posted on Twitter since the baby emoji tweet.
