Japanese game developer Nintendo announced at the E3 that the company will be launching a re-mastered version of their highly popular and acclaimed video game Mario.

Renamed as Mario 3DS, or iMario, the game will be given a new edge with modification of graphics. The game was available in both 2D and 3D versions earlier.

The new levels in the game are, reportedly, short as compared to the original version. Mario’s famous Tanooki suit has still been maintained by the developers but the levels have been modified with stairs and flags.

The levels have been designed with the iPod and iPad in mind and the obstacles have also been made crafty to integrate with the graphics, the IGN website reported.
