Nintendo's Donkey Kong and Bowser are getting new powers and abilities when they appear in the "Skylanders SuperChargers" game for the first time. Vehicles will also now be available as "Skylanders," announced Karthik Bala from Vicarious Visions at Activision during Nintendo's digital E3 conference.

Turbo Charge Donkey Kong will feature with his vehicle, the Barrel Blaster, and Hammer Slam Bowser will appear with his Clown Cruiser.

"They have complete move sets and upgrade trees of powers and abilities," said Bala. "Some of which are natural, things that you would expect like Donkey Kong throwing barrels and Bowser slamming down his hammer. But also really unexpected moves that harken back to elements of lore within the 30 years of history of these characters."

With Nintendo teaming up with Activision the figurines will be Amiibo hybrids, twisting the base of the character will switch between Skylander and Amiibo.

You can check out a video of the announcement below. Skylanders SuperChargers will be released on September 20 for Wii U, iOS, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
