The agent for golfer Tiger Woods has squashed rumors that his client would make a “special announcement” this morning.

Several news outlets, including ESPN, reported that Woods would appear on an interview on The Gold Channel to make some kind of announcement.

However, Mark Steinberg denied Woods would do any such thing.

Steinberg told The Associated Press: There's an erroneous report that he's making an announcement, but he's not.
